With 87 hikes, workshops, presentations, panel discussions, hands-on nature sessions, walks, and special events, this year’s Trail & Trilliums is shaping up to be our biggest yet! But with 25 events already SOLD OUT, time is running out to grab your spot.

  • Friday, April 4

    Salamander Adventure (11:00 AM – 3:30 PM) – 24 spots, selling fast!

    Join Dustin Thames and top biologists for a 2-mile trek searching for elusive green salamanders and other amphibians near Suter Falls. Perfect for families and nature lovers!


    Nature Photography Workshop: The Art of Seeing (1:00 PM – 3:45 PM) – 15 spots, 6 left!

    Learn photography secrets from award-winning photojournalist Robin Conover. Whether using a DSLR or smartphone, you’ll gain pro tips on composition and lighting.

  • Saturday, April 5

    History-Nature Walk Around Beersheba Springs (3:00 PM – 4:45 PM) – 25 spots, 10 left!

    Step back in time on a 1.5-mile guided tour with historian Amanda Shadowens and naturalist Paul Moore, uncovering Beersheba’s Civil War past, historic homes, and hidden stories.


    Hands-On Nature: Reptiles of Tennessee (11:00 AM – 11:45 AM) – No registration needed!

    Come face-to-face with live snakes, turtles, and reptiles! Naturalist Beth Girard will teach you the truth behind common myths and let you get hands-on with these incredible creatures.


    Wine & Wildflowers at the Big Red Barn (5:00 PM – 7:30 PM) – Tickets required

    After a day of adventure, relax with great company, local wines, and a delicious dinner in the stunning Big Red Barn. Included in Weekend Pass; a separate ticket is required for Day Pass holders.

    Bird Walk: Beersheba Birds (6:30 AM – 8:30 AM) – 35 spots, filling quickly!

    Early birds, this one’s for you! Join Dr. Garrett Adams and Kristen Garrison on an easy 1.5-mile stroll, spotting and identifying Tennessee’s diverse bird species.


    Wilderness First Aid Workshop (3:00 PM – 3:45 PM) – 20 spots, 7 left!

    Hikers, campers, and outdoor lovers—this session could save a life! Certified wilderness paramedic John Cousino will teach essential survival first aid for outdoor emergencies.

Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country at The Caverns

Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country's Camp Cosmic is set to return to The Caverns in Grundy County, TN, expanding to a two-night event on April 11 & 12, 2025

Mountain Goat Trail Race 2025

Lace Up for the Annual Mountain Goat Trail Race – April 19, 2025!


Join Us for the Annual Mountain Goat Trail Race!


Get ready to hit the trail! The Annual Mountain Goat Trail Race, sponsored by Mountain Outfitters, returns on Saturday, April 19, 2025, offering a Half Marathon, 5-Mile Run, and 2-Mile Walk along the beautiful, paved Mountain Goat Trail. Whether you're a competitive runner or simply looking for a scenic stroll, this event is for you!


Race Day Details:

  • Half Marathon: 8:00 AM CT start at Mountain Outfitters in Monteagle, following the Mountain Goat Trail to Sewanee and looping back.
  • 5-Mile Run: 9:30 AM CT start in downtown Sewanee, finishing at Mountain Outfitters.
  • 2-Mile Walk: 10:15 AM CT start at Bella Pearl’s Restaurant in Sewanee, ending at Mountain Outfitters.


The first 250 registered participants will receive a race T-shirt and other goodies! Packet pickup will be on Friday, April 18, at Tower Community Bank in Monteagle.



This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors while supporting the Mountain Goat Trail Alliance, which helps expand and maintain this historic rail-trail.

(SFWDA) TrailFest 2025

Join the Southern Four Wheel Drive Association (SFWDA) for TrailFest 2025, a weekend filled with off-road adventures, educational sessions, and family-friendly activities! This year's event takes place from April 11th to 13th, 2025, at the scenic Coalmont OHV Park in Tracy City, Tennessee.

    • Guided Trail Rides: Explore the diverse terrains of Coalmont OHV Park with experienced guides leading the way.
    • Educational Sessions: Participate in off-road training and safety courses designed for all skill levels.
    • Ladies-Only Rides: Special trail rides exclusively for women, fostering community and skill development.
    • Family-Friendly Activities: Enjoy a variety of events suitable for all ages, ensuring a memorable experience for the whole family.
  • Registration Details

    • Dates: April 11th-13th, 2025
    • Location: Coalmont OHV Park, 2605 B Mine Rd., Tracy City, TN 37387
    • Tickets: Single-day and weekend passes are available. The main event days are Friday and Saturday.
    • Camping: Limited RV sites are available through Coalmont OHV Park. To reserve, contact them at 931-592-6482 and use the code "1987" (the year SFWDA was founded). Primitive camping spots are also available, with additional private campgrounds in the area.
  • Additional Information:

    • Raffle: A raffle will be held on Saturday evening at approximately 7 PM, featuring exciting prizes from key business partners.
    • Pets: Kids and dogs are welcome; all pets must remain leashed.
