LOVED this site - will return!
10/10 recommend this amazing property! Grant and Becky could not have been more welcoming hosts and the property and specifically our site far surpassed my expectations. Our first night, there was a terrible storm that lasted for about 12 hours and we were able to sleep well and stayed totally dry. Best part of being there during this storm was how magnificent the waterfall was the next day! It’s a very easy hike just down the creek from the Tree tent to the waterfall and it was absolutely stunning! We were in the area for a concert at The Caverns, which was an easy drive from this site. Town is close if you need to pick up anything and we had a really great breakfast at The Cafe on 28. We recommend taking an air mattress for sleeping with extra blankets. Also towels for either playing in the creek (I did a little cold plunge to soothe my aching feet.) or for taking a shower. It's so nice to have these amenities when camping! If you have a larger group you can rent the large outdoor kitchen! We brought our own firewood, but not enough and the hosts are ready to provide wood for you if you need it (only $15/bundle). We did not use the grill, but there was a small charcoal grill there for us to use. There were also a few camp chairs and a nice area under the tent for food prep and keeping your things dry if it rains. I also was able to hang my hammock easily. The compost toilet is close and clean. "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ would poop again " (see photos😏) We will be back! Thanks

We loved the quiet peacefulness of this property. So glad we got to meet Grant! He was a really nice fellah and has done so many cool things with his property. We couldn’t decide which we thought was more enchanting the hike down the beautiful moss covered waterfall or wandering through the magical fairy forest at night. Would definitely stay here again!

Treetent Camping!
Had a wonderful time in the Treetent! Such a wonderful piece of land to get the chance to camp on. The treetent itself is also a lot of fun - plenty of space to spread out.

I give this place a 10/10. Grant was awesome, and the place is really nice. It's peaceful, the waterfall is beautiful, even when partially dry. It's a beautiful place, highly recommend. Grant has numerous options of camping, and takes great care in the property. Thanks so much for hosting us, Grant! We will definitely be back.

Friendly and Beautiful Place!
We had the best experience here! We were greeted by Grant straight away, and even though we arrived early before our accommodation was ready, he was happy to show us around and take us to the waterfall. My daughter played with other kids staying on the property and we made wonderful connections that evening. I wish we had stayed an extra night, but we will be back next time we head in that direction!

Tree-tent escape - adventure on!
Excellent place in the woods close to everything you want: waterfalls, hikes, good eats, and just some tranquility. The Millers were very helpful with tips about the tree-yurt and amenities. I stayed two nights and used it as basecamp for a weekend warrior adventure, but it could have been my only destination as well.

Grants place was the perfect stop on the way down from Wisconsin to Florida- the waterfalls on site were incredible and there’s plenty of land to hike on. The city of Tracy is really cool as well and was fun to explore in. The hosts are welcoming and you can tell they enjoy meeting the people that come through.

It was awesome! Very clean and the waterfall is beautiful. The trampoline tree tent is really neat, but if you are camping in the colder months make sure to bring plenty of warm sleeping bags and blankets to lay on top of since it gets cold from underneath. We definitely want to come back in the summer!!

Waterfall sounds to fall asleep!
I loved staying at Grant and Becky’s! They are wonderful hosts, they gave us a tour of the property and a nice story about the fairies that live in the forest! 🧚♂️ I can’t say enough good things about them! They made the stay. Having the waterfall so close to where we slept was absolutely incredible, and a bit of a dream come true. I would definitely stay here again. The lodgings are incredible, so unique and it had absolutely everything we could have wanted and more. Grant and Becky have set the bar by which I will judge all other camping experiences from now on. We told Grant we wanted to explore and he suggested a rugged hike down the river to find a small cave, which we did! There are no trails so it was difficult, and treacherous at times, but absolutely worth it for a seasoned hiker like me. We found the cave by crossing the larger river.

Awesome experience!
My 7 year old and I had an amazing two night stay at the trampeze tree tent. Grant is an excellent host who clearly loves to share the magic of the land. He was present, kind, and helpful, but also un-intrusive. If you stay in the tent in fall or winter, bring lots of good bedding. The tent was comfortable but got chilly!

Awesome experience!
What a cool experience! We would definitely recommend trying Grant’s place. Their property is stunning; we loved having a private hiking trail to ourselves. The amenities were great and our 2 boys (ages 6 and 8) did just fine! We hope to come back & try the other “stays” too!

This was such a sweet and unique spot and meeting with Grant was the cherry on top. He was an excellent and hospitable host who you could tell cares a lot about making sure you have a great stay. This is very-well appointed for a rustic campsite. Very shaded, which helped in the late summer heat. The covered "patio" underneath the trampoline was also an amazing spot to string up a hammock and relax the day away. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique camp experience!

Beautiful, spacious adventure
What a great escape from the hustle and bustle. The only suspended trampoline in the world (I think). Becky greeted us and showed us around the site (including how to use the toilet). It’s clean and lots of trees so firewood was easy to find. After a night of good sleep, listening to the owls and frogs, we were greeted by Grant this morning. So friendly and open to letting us use their land to explore the beautiful trails, cool spaces and falls. We’ll definitely be back.

Great Option for Families/Kids!
We took our two year old twin boys here and had such a wonderful time. Although I was admittedly hesitant about the trampoline portion (and even brought a tent just in case), it was actually perfect. The trampoline is completely enclosed as much as a normal tent is, with just one door opening with heavy duty zippers. And it’s very spacious inside that the four of us even with the toddler mattresses we brought only took up half the trampoline, which is reinforced in the middle. The site is near a small stream/creek, which our boys loved. Grant was so kind and gracious with our boys and even helped us toward the waterfall. As soon as he left, one of our boys even commented that he missed Mr Grant. We will definitely be back!

Grant is such a personable, helpful host. Grant was very generous with his time and responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed him very much and his creative camp sites. The land itself is beautiful and such a refreshing change from camping at a state park. If you are looking to get off the beaten path and long for some beauty and tranquility, this is a perfect spot.

I would definitely go back, but next time during the summer. The waterfall is awesome and there is tons of hiking in the area. Also there is a grocery store and family dollar about 20 min away in case you need food, ice, essentials. I would highly recommend bringing a supply of Firewood or an axe to chop your own. We used a life straw for drinking water straight out of the creek. If this is not you, bring drinking water.

October 26, 2021
We had a fantastic stay! The site was perfect and situated right by the creek. The waterfalls were breathtaking and the property was so much fun to explore. We ended up going off the trail and following the creek for awhile. The trek was rather challenging but incredibly worth the sore feet. The tree tent was also great! The ladder was no trouble to access and the tent stayed comfortable all night. There was plenty of firewood to collect and the property was scattered with plenty of mushrooms for those avid collectors like us. My only issue was the proximity to the other campsites. They were far enough away that we didn't cross paths with them but we were close enough to see and hear them. Again, this was barely an issue and did NOT affect our stay at all! Grant and Becky were incredibly generous and accommodating. We ended up arriving rather late on the first night and Becky was there to greet us and show us the way. Despite being late, she took the time to explain the ins and outs of the site. Thank you both for everything!

Grant was extremely nice and helpful, even gave our grandkids a ride on the four wheeler. The site was wonderful and very private which we appreciated. I do not understand why there was a $35 cleaning fee The additional fees made this a very expensive camping experience, but it was very nice

Wonderful outdoor getaway
My boyfriend and I loved our stay here at the TrampEase Tree Tent! Grant was very kind to us and is very knowledgeable of the area and the absolute best things to see in and around the area. It’s a wonderful, quiet place to stay with so many awesome hikes and outdoor adventures to do. Grant was a wonderful host and was willing to do anything we might need to make our stay more enjoyable. Highly recommend this for your outdoor getaway!

Tranquil Escape
Definitely Recommend. Comfortable treehouse with the sound of the creek and the night birds and animals. Climbing the ladder into the tree tent was reminiscent of childhood days. This was my first hip camp experience, but Grant was a very helpful host and I soon felt at ease. The short hike to the waterfall is amazing!

MUST SEE Miller Falls Campground!
EVERYONE NEEDS TO VISIT MILLER FALLS in gorgeous Smokey Mountains! Beautiful woods, creeks, rock climbing, camping, and brilliant weather. Campgrounds are clean, lots of amenities, and campground owners are super kind people! We stayed for 4 nights, and our campsite was $48/night before tax. We initially booked through HipCamp, but I'll definitely be booking with the owner directly (TNwaterfallgetaway.com) for all future visits to their campground! My fiance and I booked the TrampEase Tree Tent - one of seven beautiful, hand-built campsites that range from primitive to full-on glamping. Our campsite was a mix of both. It included an elevated yurt tent, fire pit, round table, 2 folding camping chairs, and a private composting toilet in a nearby outhouse. Not to mention a flowing creek less than 50 feet from the yurt! The tranquil sound of the creek flowing 24/7 was even better than sleep-sounds on my Google Home. LOL! Most of the campsites have drive-up access, though if you have a car that's particularly low to the ground (like a small sedan) you may not want to risk driving over the rocky road. We brought with us a 1" inflatable mattress pad, along with a sleeping bag, and 2 thick, warm blankets. Despite being mid-May, the average temps during our visit were 60-70 F during the day, and a chilly 40-45 F at night. Brilliant weather for snuggling, but we would have regretted not bringing a few extra blankets. Lots of hiking and trails to explore on their property, and at least a mile of rugged creek terrain that makes for a fun, albeit challenging day of rock climbing. Well worth it for the stunning views of the waterfalls, canyons, and mountainsides. There are also trails and lakes nearby for hiking, kayaking, and a number of other outdoor attractions in Tracy City. The owners, Grant & Becky, were such friendly people. My fiance and I had a lovely chat with them about philanthropy, community outreach, homestead farming, and more. They are warm, kind, and welcoming to people of all ages, races, religions, genders, identities, abilities, backgrounds, perspectives, and ideologies. They have done a lot of traveling and business throughout their lives, and now they are semi-retired in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Speaking of ability - the majority of the glamping sites have tents that are elevated from the ground; some, like the one we stayed in, required climbing a 10 foot ladder to enter/exit the tent. There are some other sites though that are more accessible with tents low to the ground, or primitive sites where you can pitch your own tent. Contact the owner (tnwaterfallgetaway.com/c…) to ask about the best accommodation options for you. They offer great amenities and fun activities around the property during your stay. The owners are big on being self-sufficient, so they love to offer fun learning experiences regarding farming, gardening, and homesteading. They also enjoy metal work and have some cool art pieces around their property. We even did a welding project (for a small fee) and made an original piece of art as a keepsake from our trip! You can also get some convenience items from the owners for a fee: firewood bundles, champagne & ice, property tours, guided tours of their city, and more. HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP: Grant was also kind enough to swing by our campsite one morning to ask if we had any interest in bees! He has a few hives and some extra gear, so we got an up-close look into the hives! It was absolutely mesmerizing! And if all that weren't enough, their website TNwaterfallgetaway.com is chock-full of great tips for local hiking, waterfall views, kayaking, dining, and more! We had such a lovely time enjoying the outdoors, and look forward to going back for another visit!

Amazing & relaxing forest getaway
This stay was a dream! Grant and Becky are both so kind and easy to communicate with. Grant showed us around the property and was very welcoming! The campsite was calming with the creek right there and there are camping chairs at the site! We walked down to the waterfall and stood under it to rinse off and it was incredible! We could not have asked for a better experience, it was magical!

The perfect getaway
The camp site is absolutely beautiful and needs to be seen to be appreciated! Grant was a wonderful host and very accommodating. All our needs were met, and our expectations were exceeded. The tree tent has a perfect location. I also recommend the Yurtle campsite that has an outdoor kitchen. Both are very clean and comfortable shelters. The waterfall is the most breathtaking part!

wonderful winter getaway
The tree tent was an amazing experience, even in the bitter cold! We felt very welcomed and comfortable, and there is so much pretty land to explore. If going in colder months, make sure to get the fire started before nightfall and to bring ALL the blankets and ALL the extra layers! It was FREEZING!! We lasted until 5:30am in the tent and then scampered to the car to warm up until adventuring out to the waterfall. Pro tip - the waterfall is super full and absolutely breath-taking in the winter! Becky and Grant were amazing hosts and I would 10/10 reccommend a stay on their property. We had a wonderful winter valentine's day stay!

The Apex of Hipcamp
TrampEase Tree Tent made for an incredible weekend. Grant has a pristine piece of land that offers a great getaway in the woods. The area around the site was perfect for storing supplies and food. The firepit allows for a sizeable fire so being cold is not a factor. You can tell the work that Grant has put into making their sites private and relaxing. The land surrounding the site included a brook which you can hear at night. The brook flows to a stunning waterfall which is the beginning point of one of the best hikes, but it is not for the faint of heart (Grant made sure to tell us to not break a leg...He wasn’t kidding). We will definitely be back! 5 out of 5!

We brought our family of 4, including an 8 year old and 13 year old, and pup, and had a blast. Grant welcomed us, took us for a drive around the property to ensure we knew all the good spots to check out, and was an all around fantastic and responsive host with the most, The property far exceeded our expectations (photos can’t do it justice). The kids were gushing about what an awesome hike we had down the falls, as were my fiancé and me. Highly recommend!

Our stay was awesome! Grant was a great host, very welcoming, and gave plenty of great suggestions of things to do while we were there! Would definitely go back again. Grant’s property is amazing, it has a waterfall just steps away from your camp site. And you hear the running creek as you lay in your tent.

We had a fabulous time in the trampoline tent campsite. Grant and Kathy were super kind and showed us around the property (he has built most of it), as well as taught my kids how to chop wood. Grant helped me start a fire and even helped dry out some of our sleeping bags after they got wet in the rain. The kids thought the trampoline was super cool and fun. The site is super close to several beautiful hikes and Chattanooga is only 45 minutes away. We will be back!

You have to stay here!
We absolutely loved our stay here! Grant wasn't home when we arrived, so his wonderful wife showed up around the site and answered any questions we had. The compost toilet outhouse is super clean and easy to use, as was the tent itself. You can partially see the Yurtle from this site, but it still felt very private. Even with the water level being low this time of year, we were still able to hear the stream behind us that leads down to the waterfall. The whole property is incredible and the waterfall itself is gorgeous! There's another hike to a waterfall you can take down past the waterfall on their property that we didn't have time to do, but make sure to ask them about it if you have some extra time! Grant stopped by the next day to see if we needed anything and was incredibly friendly. He's done an amazing job with all the sites on the property! We slept wonderfully in the TrampEase tree tent and can't recommend it enough. The Fiery Gizzard hiking trail is super close, so be sure to check that out as well! We started our hike at Foster Falls and went about 3 miles to Laurel Gorge, then back out. Get ready for some stargazing too, as there isn't too much light pollution out that far. We were lucky enough to be there at the peak of the Orionids meteor shower which was AMAZING! Seriously, stay here. We had the best time!

Absolutely beautiful
It was absolutely amazing! The kids loved the trampoline tent. We had a creek right behind us and it was short walk to the most amazing waterfall. I will definitely be a repeat guest. The owner was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying ourselves. We enjoyed our stay very much!

October 14, 2020
Grant is a fantastic host, showing us around the property (lots of very cool waterfalls, creeks and other geologic features) and outfitted our campsite with a light since ours had broken. The tree tent is quite unique. We utilized the table beneath the suspended trampoline to prepare food and eat. We had lots of rain during our stay so that kept us dry for the most part. The trampoline itself is very comfortable and spacious. You can stand all the way up in the center so its easy to get dressed, etc... There's a small gap between the trampoline and the canvas tent above it, so a little water may get in there during heavy rain. Nothing unmanageable but keep your critical items away from the edge. While there, we did the Fiery Gizzard hike which is quite secluded and picturesque. It is a difficult hike - lots of walking on big rocks - so bring your hiking boots and a walking stick.

Magical Tree-top Yurt - SO COOL!
This site is just so cool and it meets + exceeds all expectations of a pre-standing tent site. It's right on a little creek that you follow to a big waterfall. In that respect, it can't get ANY better. Things that are of logistical importance: - It's the perfect site to rent in addition to The Outdoor Kitchen Grant and Becky have. They're VERY close to one another - and if you have a lot of people, you want these two together. - The ladder situation is very safe! Our five year old got a little freaked coming down the first time - but figured it out and no fear after that. It is high - but there's a support rail, very secure. - When we were here, it was COLD. Coldest night of the year so far (says the person who forgot her coat) - and that's a whole lotta tent to fill up with body heat. If you're coming here in cold months, you need your long-underwear and temperature graded sleeping bags. We only had two people in here - more bodies would mean more warmth. - Grant was also installing a second Yurt floor and cover for more insulation - so both of those will help. - You really don't roll to the middle! It's soft, but works so well as a platform. - Fire pit and table below the Yurt make for an awesome hang out spot! And in general, these hosts are AWESOME. If you need ANYTHING, they want to help and care so much about guests being comfortable!

Wonderful stay at swanee falls
We really enjoyed our stay at trampease at swanee falls. Our host grant exceeded our expectations on make our stay comfortable and helped us feel very at ease as it was a new experience for us. He showed us around the property and introduced us to other campers around our campsite. The waterfall was beautiful and we also followed the creek down until we found a cave which was also a great find and give us a hiking experience we wont forget. The sounds of water and the waterfall was wonderful to listen to at night. We would highly recommend anyone wanting to have weekend getaway should consider camping here. Thanks grant for you hospitality and kindness. We will be back!!!!

Unique experience.
Fun one night adventure. Host was pleasant and helpful. It was a little chilly the night we stayed so make sure to bring plenty of blankets as the tent goes down close to the springs but the springs are open meaning you get a lot of air coming in from the sides and of course from underneath. The creek was peaceful and though the falls were just a trickle currently, it made for a pleasant stroll.

The trampease tent was absolutely lovely, it’s a pretty private area and you would only see people if they took the trails along the creek/to the river. Grant and his wife were both very friendly and told us about the land/campsites. Even showed us the trail that lead to the waterfall. I will say the water fall was a steady small stream due to the lack of rain but was still an amazing site/view to see. I only stayed one night but wished I could’ve stayed longer. Will definitely be coming back again!

Tramp Camping
Our two night stay was wonderful and Grant was a great host. Trampoline tent is ingenious. Dog friendly as well! I was a little disappointed that the creek and waterfall weren’t very strong but hey it’s summertime in the South. Plus the waterfall area was still ridiculously beautiful as was the rest of the property. And definitely planning a trip later in the year when everything is flowing.

Great place to stay just bring food
Grant and his wife are excellent host and really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The kids had a blast and very wonderful scenery that is right off your camp site. The ability to just pull out blankets and not worry about the site set up was a huge benifit for one dad and 4 kids.

Wish it was Friday again
We enjoyed a much needed getaway after staying at home for three months with little interaction outside our own house. The site is spacious, with a nice wooded area and grassy field to throw balls or frisbees right beside it. The creek is gorgeous, filled with crawdads and little salamanders and we really enjoyed exploring it. The waterfall is awesome and we had the whole pool and falls to ourselves. Standing under the falls is quite a massage for your back! I will say the the walk down to it feels a bit precarious with a narrow trail right by a decent drop off for the first part—definitely want to steer small children and don’t let them run past the creek—there’s an abrupt drop where the waterfall spills over. Some things I always want to know before booking: how are the roads leading there? In this case they’re fine, no surprise one-way dirt roads. Can you see/hear other campers? Can’t see them unless you’re walking towards the falls. However, if the glamping tent is rented and the renters happen to be the type to start playing loud music and socializing loudly outside at 11 pm, you can hear them. Luckily for us, that only lasted one night. Please respect your neighbors! My kids thanked me several times for bringing them which is the best compliment that Grant and I can hope for. Even with a mostly wet weekend, we were all happy.

We will be back!
Grant and Becky have created a precious slice of heaven. Grant is an excellent informative host, who goes to great lengths to make sure all of your needs are taken care of. The Tramp-ease was really fun! We brought a foam pad to sleep on, but this isn’t completely necessary, as the trampoline is comfy on its own and has been reinforced a bit to keep everyone from rolling into each other. The compostable toilets are easy to use and very clean. Additionally, the airplane wire used to support the tent is great for hanging your supplies in the picnic area underneath. The creek is very close to the site and is a constant relaxing presence. Bringing a hammock is highly recommended so that you can just chill. Because our stay was on the short side and our main focus was just to relax, we didn’t get to hike the land as much as would have liked. However, the hike down to the waterfall isn’t too hard and is completely satisfying. Places we visited in the area were The Sewanee Natural Bridge and Fiery Gizzard. The bridge was out at Fiery Gizzard, so we only did the day loop, but both of these locations are stunning and easy. We can’t wait to return to experience more of Sewanee Falls, and the surrounding parks. It’s probably worth mentioning that although I would never leave a host without a review, we would really rather keep this place a secret. Thanks for a great time!

A magical place.
I don’t even know where to begin. I’ll start with the host, Grant. Grant was truly a special person. He was extremely accommodating and kind. I recommend the guided tour because we learned about his land and got to explore off the beaten path. Now about the site, it’s a trampoline in the trees. It doesn’t get any better than that. It was very unique and comfortable. You can drive your car up to the spot which is always a plus but you also have the perfect amount of privacy AND not to mention, the waterfall is literally a hop and a skip from the tent. You’re extremely close to the creek and can hear it at night when you sleep. Anyway, I could go on and on but my best advice is to get away, book this trip, and enjoy the woods.
