The treehouse is currently unavailable to rent pending improvements required by the State and County, including flush toilet, a septic system, electrical and construction requirements to meet National codes for residential and commercial homes.
Meanwhile, I continue to work on completing the structure according to instructions from the county building inspector. Still, for me, it’s been more of an art project than house construction. Even after we have an occupancy permit in hand, I think artistic improvements will likely occupy my time in retirememt for years to come.
Many of our Airbnb vacation cabin guests have requested I keep them on a list for first rights to stay in THE BEECH when it’s ready, although it won’t be finished for some time.
Scroll down for my blog. It’s about my journey in building the treehouse. Subscribe below for progress updates.
The view and the summer cool breezes from the deck are “to die for”. Becky and I celebrated Valentine’s Day 2019 with a romantic dinner under the domed deck canopy. We have also enjoyed staying overnight in the loft. So, for now, eat your hearts out. It’s our private lair.
Since nobody has stayed in “the Beech” yet, we don’t really have any testimonials other than comments made about it from friends who have stayed at the other cabins. Click the other properties then the Airbnb link to view comments or to rent.
